This St. Charles single-family home was built in 1968, and after nearly six decades the original windows had reached the end of their working life. WarmDreams replaced fourteen openings in total: twelve windows throughout the house, a patio door off the main living area, and the front bay window — all supplied with Advanced Window Corp PVC units chosen for their thermal performance and low-maintenance finish.
The bay window was the centerpiece of the job. Structurally, the assembly needed to be rebuilt from the seat up, but it carried original interior woodwork and a top crown molding the homeowners were not willing to lose. Our crew documented every profile before demolition, rebuilt the bay to carry the new sash correctly, and recreated the interior trim and crown molding piece by piece. The finished bay reads as original — the homeowners felt it came out better than the woodwork it replaced.
The project ran ahead of schedule from start to finish. Installation began several weeks earlier than the contracted date and wrapped faster than quoted, with the crew washing every unit before leaving so the house was turnkey the day they finished.
